What is a listserv? A listserv is a mailing list program for communicating with other people who have subscribed to the same list. You can choose which listservs you would like to be a part of. When a district official submits an update to the particular listserv, you will receive an email (or even a cell phone text message if you so desire) from the listserv.
For example, if you subscribe to the "School Closing" listsev, you will receive an email or text message of school closings. Imagine how convenient this will be on those snowy mornings when you wait to see if our district will be closed or not.
You can also subscribe to your child's individual school listserv and get updates pertaining to just that school.
If you have a cell phone and wish to receive a text message via your cell phone, you can set that up too. It's as easy as adding your email address to the list. You can unsubscribe just as easily too.
